We had a fantastic tour of the eastern side of Madeira with David, starting with sunrise st Pico Areeiro, then a coffee stop on our way to Santana to see the old thatched roof A-Frame houses, then on to David's family property to see an old wine press and see the farm, then on to Machi o to rum distillery, then stopped for a wonderful lunch in Porto da Cruz right on the ocean before heading back to Santa Cruz to see the Jesus statue and scenic views before heading back to our hotel in Funchal. A lovely day, and David did an excellent job telling us about all of the locations and the history of the area. we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madeira! ~ Don F

As a group of 7, we have just had a fantastic tour of Madeira with the wonderful David. We nearly rented a car but so glad we didn’t and went with David as the roads on the island can be tricky at times…steep, sharp bends, narrow etc but when driven by a local it’s a dream. It also allowed me to sample the Poncha around the island 😬 The car was really comfortable, and David’s knowledge was great, he tailored it to our group when needed (age range of 6 - 70 in our group). We told David where we wanted to go mainly ‘instagrams hidden gems’ haha but David offered some alternatives, namely those that avoided hour long hikes and were still stunning…the photos don’t really do it justice!! We honestly had a great day and highly recommend a tour with this company if you go to Madeira. After a ten hour tour, we really feel like we’ve got a flavour of this beautiful island. ~ Mark R

Catia and David provided an excellent taxi service for our hiking day in Madeira! We were so blessed to have Catia as our driver for 8 hours. She picked us up from our hotel at 5 AM and safely drove us to all of our hiking stops. We provided detailed instructions and specific times, and they delivered perfectly. Catia was incredibly informative, friendly, welcoming, and a very safe driver. She made our day so much easier and enjoyable. Inmejorable servicio!!!!! Espectacular las dos excursiones que hemos contratado con ellos, privadas, 2 personas. Hemos ido en una lujosa Mercedes con Afonso, nuestro conductor / amigo. Conoce todos los rincones de la isla y te explica absolutamente todo lo que vas viendo. Nos ha llevado a dos pedazos de restaurantes locales fuera de los circuitos para turistas. Las excursiones han durado mas de lo contratado por decisión suya. Lo recomiendo 1000 % porque además el precio es super correcto. Highly recommend booking with Catia & David if you are looking to explore Madeira! Catia came and picked us up early in the morning to do the sunrise hike at Pico Ruvio, and she was there waiting to take us back to our air bnb afterwards.
